July 2007 -- AirplanePDQ was named "Best Of
Show" at EAA AirVenture by popular Kitplanes columnist Jim Weir!!! Jim surveyed the various
avionics products and software packages exhibited at the EAA AirVenture
fly-in at the end of July and from these selected several products
for recognition at his annual "Best Of Show" forum at EAA AirVenture. This is a second win for AirplanePDQ and the third time for a DaVinci Technologies product! Thanks Jim!

avionics products and software packages exhibited at the EAA AirVenture
fly-in at the end of July and from these selected three avionics products
and three aviation related software packages for recognition at their
annual "Best Of Show" forum at EAA AirVenture. This was a

March 2002 |
A very nice review of AirplanePDQ just appeared in
the March 2002 issue of the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA)
publication Canadian Flight.
Click here for the full text, but this is a short quote:
... I found the program easy to set up. It was easy
to use. It worked for me. I have no hesitation in suggesting
that anyone venturing into aircraft design will find AircraftPDQ a
useful tool... Peter Walpole, COPA Canadian Flight

Flying
May 2002 |
The May 2002 issue of Flying magazine contained a great
mini-review of AirplanePDQ...
"AirplanePDQ! Kitplane builders take note: [DaVinci
Technologies] has produced a "drawing-centric"
conceptual/preliminary design tool for homebuilt and light general
aviation aircraft on CD. Easy to install, intuitive to use, it
allows amateur airplane designers to focus on the look and layout of their
aircraft while the software does the detailed analysis calculations.
The software is organized into three parts. The first section
consists of an airplane sizing wizard that covers things like wings,
weight and speed. The second section is the computers-aided design
package that produces drawings and graphically manipulates the airplane
design. Move a wing and the program automatically updates it for
you. And the third part is a group-analysis function that calculates
what would happen if you added a new engine to your existing airplane and
what its performance results would be. AirplanePDQ's updated version
also interfaces with the X-Plane simulation and has improved CAD
functionality, including fly-over snapping--a visual aid that allows users
to make accurate drawings more easily and to test fly their designs.
The $99 package includes one year of product upgrades and an unconditional
30-day satisfaction guarantee." |

24-Sep-01 |
The September 24th issue of Av
Week included the following info on our AirplanePDQ software...
"RUTAN IN A BOX Amateur aircraft designers who want
software to both analyze and draw their designs can use AirplanePDQ from
DaVinci Technologies. AirplanePDQ has sizing and analysis tools combined
with the IntelliCAD drawing program, which is compatible with the popular
AutoCAD system. The analysis tools include performance and
weight-and-balance. An upgraded version available next month can pass data
to and from the X-Plane flight simulation program, allowing designers to
evaluate their creations on the simulator. The new version also is
compatible with Auto- CAD 2000 file types. AirplanePDQ costs $99 and is
available at www.davincitechnologies.com." |

avweb.com
recently gave us a nice mention on their site...
"Creating The Future Of GA DaVinci Technologies, whose
layman-oriented aircraft-design software won "Best Of Show" from
Kitplanes magazine at this summer's EAA AirVenture, announced last week
that a major upgrade will be released next month. The software, called
AirplanePDQ, provides amateur aircraft designers with an intuitive
drawing-oriented tool that allows them to focus on planform and profile,
while the software handles detailed analysis. Sizing, flight envelope,
weight and balance and other factors are all addressed by the program. The
new version will interface with X-Plane flight simulation/basic CAD
software, which bills itself as the most aerodynamically accurate flight
simulator on the market. ..." |
