Customer Projects

Here are pictures of some customer projects...

Bill Suter's Bluebird

I was standing at the open end of a Forum pavillion at AirVenture 2009 waiting for a thunderstorm to pass when I struck up a conversation with someone else sheltering from the rain. His name was Bill Suter and he had flown to Oshkosh in an airplane he had designed and built called the Bluebird. After talking for a few minutes I learned that he is an AirplanePDQ customer and he had used AirplanePDQ during the design of his airplane. I walked over in the rain to take a look at his plane and took some pictures. It was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Here's a picture he emailed me. He also has a nice web site about the airplane here.

Sutter Bluebird

David Rose's "Rags"

Designed with help from AirplanePDQ, Rags won the Biplane division at the Reno National Championship Air Races in 2002.  In the process it set a new class speed record of 224.20 mph and a new qualifying record of 226.91 mph.  As a result of those speed records, Rose won the Pulitzer Aviation Trophy. This was Rose's third consecutive win in the biplane division at Reno.
